A Study of Serration opus 971

I had the need to replace a serrated paring knife.
As most people do, I had a specific image in my mind.
So, I placed three small orders from as many companies.
The ads depicted images, but it was difficult
To discern exactly what the cutting edge would look like.
The arrival days for the three knives finally came.
My surprise deepened as I opened each packet for examination.
The first was deeply serrated with a series of large teeth.
The next had large teeth, interspersed with a series of fine ones.
The last one was completely fine-toothed, almost viciously so,
With its very fine, but absolutely precise cutting ability.
There were three lessons here for me.
Having an image of something is not necessarily correct.
Researching a thought often reveals unknown and unexpected results.
And it is most often best to explore more than one avenue.
