Both politicians and artists reach out to a loyal following. Both, each in one's own way attempt to please. Both are creative in the manner they approach their public. Both generally and continually must reach out to survive. Both often struggle to raise enough funds for self maintenance. The difference is that artists have little power over others. Artists have a modest agenda to convince support. Artists have no claim to 'change another's life.' But when successful, both at times prosper, Given that their goals arise from very different philosophies. My question is, would I aspire to be a politician, Who might change the world for the better with honest speech, Or to be an artist who might change the world through powerful art?
