Saved by a Sikh opus 918

14 August 2026 1849 Hours Religion, Aging, Behavior, Communication, Friendship, Relationship
My Sikh friend was delivering something from his store.
He arrived at my home and I was getting up to go to the door.
As I arose, my right leg slowly collapsed
And I gently flowed downward to my office floor.
My weaker right hip replacement had been inserted, skewed inward!
We were talking on the phone as I started toward him at the door.
I could not move well, and explained that I was on the floor.
He immediately came in and after a short rest,
He reached out his hand and raised me up.
It was clear I was all right and after a check, he departed.
I called the next day to thank him and he was pleased I was still okay.
The following day he called me to check again. We chatted for a while.
When suddenly he blurted out, "You are the smartest person I have known."
I was amazed. I had shown him many of my favorite objects,
Such as fulgurites and Libyan Desert Glass, but I humbly objected.
He insisted, so I left it at that. I told him what was important was
I had been 'Saved by a Sikh!'

(The Sikhs have rejected the caste system, obligating themselves
To help all other creatures, as well as their fellow humans!)
