I have a Sikh friend, Jaswant, who volunteers to deliver
Items from his store to me, when I need them. He is very kind.
I asked him to describe his background to me.
He explained he was a Sikh, although he cut his hair
And wore no turban.
He told me he changed his custom because of job prejudice.
Jaswant explained that he volunteered, especially with elders,
Because he was taught to be kind and helpful to others.
I was touched by his feelings for me in that context.
Here are some basics I learned about Sikhism:
