The opposite of a minuscule printed letter is a majuscule.
We might know them better as lowercase and uppercase.
Uppercase is also designated as a capital or cap.
These terms originate from the printing trade,
Where capital type letters were stored 'in the upper case,'
And lower case type letters were kept 'in the lower case.'
Oh, and while minuscule letters have ascenders (d, f, h)
And descenders (g, p, y),
Majuscule letters are generally consistent in height.
So much for the trivia of letter morphology!
Does anyone remember taking a printing class in HS?
I certainly do! A now real historical learning experience.
