President's Governors Dinner, Excluding Dems and one Black Governor opus 791

Our president, 'a leader for all the people', is so focused on his own party
That he actually attempted to break tradition,
And invite only Republicans to the 'Governors Dinner'.
This had never occurred in all the years of this bipartisan celebration.
Maryland's black governor, Wes Moore, is one of two disinvited governors,
The other being Colorado's Governor Jared Polis.
Moore is quoted: "This message of disrespect. . .
Are just deeply unneeded reminders
Of just how unstable his (Trump's) leadership continues to be."
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, addressed
The exclusions at a press briefing:
"It's the people's home. It's also the president's home
And he can invite whomever he wants..."
The National Governors' Association said it won't
"Facilitate" events that don't include all governors.
UPDATE: Oklahoma (R) Governor Kevin Stitt, chair of the Association,
Spoke with Trump and with magnanimity, mended the misstep and riff,
Inviting all governors to please attend.
We all await what will transpire from this unfortunate event.
